Reconstruction in Georgia lasted form the end of the civil war to 1871 when a democratic government was able to regain control and end the military occupation of the state. The main goals of reconstruction were unification and emancipation. How well did Georgia meet these goals? Find out as Marie talks to Dr. Ann Tucker of the University of North Georgia who specializes in the history of the nineteenth century in US South.
