More specifically, Victorian seances in late 1800s London, which is the focus of Lesley's recent Master's thesis titled Home is Where the Haunt is: The Cultural History of the Domestic Séance in Victorian London. Generally, when we think of seances our mind sends us to spooky corners, filled with evil spirits. But Lesley is here to offer a different perspective, that of the Victorian age, where people sought to communicate with loved ones who had passed.
